Cymap 2008

Mechanical and Electrical Modules

A comprehensive solution for HVAC and electrical design, Cymap can be used for all forms of commercial property. It is equally suitable for new projects and for refurbishment and upgrading of existing buildings.

Cymap is used successfully in over 20 countries around the world, from small projects through to large multi-disciplinary projects engaging many companies.

Cymap features solutions for:

  • Heating, cooling, energy consumption and psychrometric analysis
  • Piped services covering a wide range of fluids and configurations
  • Ducted services with noise levels at the grille and in rooms
  • Low voltage wiring design from the transformer right through to final circuits
  • Lighting design for internal, emergency, external and day-lighting

Cymap is easy to learn and can be used at all stages of the design process from initial conception, through scheme design, the production of working drawings and on to the production of record drawings. During the early stages you can very quickly build up a design, look at budget costings and either discard or re-work it.

Cymap allows users to improve both their productivity and design accuracy with tools that allow you to perform both routine and complex calculations associated with buildings such as heatloss, heatgain, and energy consumption. The engineer can then design pipe and duct work services using our unique and friendly sketching technique with fully rendered 3D views just a few clicks away.

Cymap incorporates a facility for global change. For example it enables you to try out a different type of glazing or a different type of luminaire. Both the Cymap modules operate in an integrated and intelligent fashion to pass information between each other as the objects in a module are updated. For example if room control temperatures are modified these affect the room loads and are in turn passed through to update the air flow requirements for the ducting. A wide range of manufacturers equipment information is included for comparisons of price and performance.
