Autodesk and CADline Offer ‘Right Tools’ For AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT Users
Have you often found yourself struggling with your CAD or GIS Integration work? Is your software perhaps unable to deal with your demand to produce work of the highest quality in as little time as possible?
The experts at CADline, the leading provider of AutoCAD software and AutoCAD training, know all too well the pressures of producing designs, projects and simulations effectively and efficiently and have therefore launched a new campaign: Right Tools For The Right Job.
The tools in question are key features incorporated in the new AutoCAD Map 3D software, designed specifically to further aid users in computer aided design (CAD) and geographic information systems (GIS) integration projects. The software bridges the cap between CAD and GIS, allowing AutoCAD users to easily access GIS work in its native format. The campaign has been launched to help AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT users increase productivity, while also creating a more efficient operation.
Debi Peppin, Director at CADline, said, “The latest versions of the AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT software are certainly powerful in their own right and have assisted thousands of users as a result of the new tools incorporated in the latest updates. However, AutoCAD Map 3D not only allows AutoCAD users to keep their current tools but simply adds to these, providing a more comprehensive range of tools for CAD and GIS work.”
This has certainly been the case with Rushmoor Borough Council, which has recently utilised AutoCAD Map 3D, in a bid to make its GIS work more efficient. Prior to the use of this software, the Council’s GIS team found that data could not be readily swapped between departments and updating data sets was also problematic. AutoCAD Map 3D provided a bridge between computer aided design and geographic information, in addition to the integrated mapping tools, therefore providing a simple, efficient and effective way to share data and information.
Debi added, “The AutoCAD Map 3D software allows users to handle and import large GIS datasets into AutoCAD software without compromising performance. Additionally, data can often be lost during translation and re-importing processes and the risk of this has now been minimised by the new Map 3D software, so the software has many benefits.”
In bridging GIS and CAD, the AutoCAD Map 3D software has solved many problems AutoCAD users would previously have experienced. The software allows users to access and manipulate large data sets quickly and easily from numerous GIS sources, while also allowing users to natively access spatial data without translation, helping to ensure that users can access the most up-to-date information. AutoCAD Map 3D also reduces backlogs, by using the world’s best CAD tools familiar to millions of engineers worldwide to directly edit geospatial data.
